Saini Concrete Systems Pvt. Ltd. is located over at 264 in the Industrial Area, Phase-9. It’s a wide-open spot, which is good because concrete work takes up a lot of room. There is always a layer of grey dust on everything, no matter how much we try to sweep it up. The yard is full of equipment and different mixtures waiting to be moved. It’s a noisy place with the sound of mixers and heavy trucks coming in and out all day long. We don't have fancy furniture or a reception area with coffee. Most people just walk into the main shed to find whoever they need to talk to. The sun hits the pavement hard in Phase-9, so it gets pretty hot during the summer months. We usually start quite early before the heat becomes too much to handle. Our desks are covered in sketches and project notes. It’s not the kind of place where you wear a suit. We’re usually in boots and rough clothes because that’s what the job needs. There’s a lot of coordination involved in making sure the concrete systems are ready on time. We just keep our heads down and stay busy. The neighborhood is mostly other industrial units, so it’s all very business-like but in a rugged way. It’s a hard-working atmosphere and we’ve grown used to the pace of life here at number 264.
