We are located in Village Daburjee, which is near Lodhimajra in the Ropar district of Punjab. This is where Gujarat Ambuja Cements Limited has its local presence. Being out here in the countryside means we are close to the actual ground work. The office is at House Number F-39, and it’s a pretty simple place. You can see the fields from the windows, and the air feels a bit fresher than in the bigger cities, though it gets quite dusty when the trucks are moving. We spend our time managing the flow of cement through this part of Punjab. There’s a lot of back and forth with the local distributors and the people working at the nearby sites. The winters here are really cold, so we usually have a heater going and plenty of hot tea. It’s a small team, and we’ve all been working together for a while, so we know how to handle the busy periods. We don't have any fancy signs or big displays. It’s just an office with some desks, chairs, and a lot of record books. Most days are about making sure the numbers add up and the deliveries are on schedule. It’s steady work and we like being part of the community here in Ropar. We just take things one day at a time and get it done without too much fuss.
