Our facility is located in Plot 61 of the Phase I industrial area. It’s a pretty standard industrial block with lots of grey buildings and trucks coming and going. Inside, we spend our time processing and packaging various food items. It’s a repetitive process of weighing, sealing, and labeling. We wear our hairnets and aprons all day, which isn't the most comfortable thing, but it’s part of the rules for food safety. The sound of the packaging machines is a constant hum in the background that you eventually stop noticing after a few hours. We don't have a fancy office upstairs; the manager’s desk is right there near the loading bay so he can see everything that’s happening. We focus on getting the orders out on time so the trucks don't have to wait. There’s always a bit of a mess with scraps of plastic or cardboard that we have to clear away at the end of every shift. We’re not a huge company with a lot of departments. We’re just a group of people who know how to run the equipment and get the bags filled correctly. Lunch is usually spent in the small break area or just outside if the weather is okay. We don't spend much time on decorations or making the place look pretty. It’s a workspace meant for getting things packed and shipped, and that’s exactly what we do from Monday to Saturday.
