Bhagwati Rice & General Mills

Bhagwati Rice & General Mills is located right on Morinda Road, and we are pretty easy to spot because the police station is just a stone’s throw away. This has been our spot for many years. We deal with rice mostly, but we handle other general milling needs too when people bring stuff in. During the peak harvest months, the road outside gets really crowded with tractors and trucks lined up. It can get pretty noisy with all the machinery running, and the whole place smells like toasted grain most of the time. We aren’t some big corporate office with people in suits. We are usually just wearing our regular clothes, covered in a bit of grain dust. My brother and I run the place with a few helpers from the local area. We don't have a fancy reception area; usually, people just walk into the main shed and find us. We take pride in just being a part of the local community here in Morinda. It’s a straightforward business. We weigh the grain, process it, and bag it back up for the folks who brought it in. There isn't much more to it than that. We don't use any high-tech gadgets for our sales, just old-fashioned ways of doing things that have worked for us for a long time. It’s a busy life, but we like it that way. Every day brings something different, depending on what the farmers bring us.
