Ayush Fly Ash Bricks & Co.

Our company, Ayush Fly Ash Bricks & Co., is located right opposite the railway station in the Puri district. We are also quite close to the New Jagannath Sadak, which is a major road around here. The location is very convenient for getting our raw materials in, though the trains can be quite noisy throughout the day. We have a large open yard where we press and dry the bricks. It’s a dusty business, and our clothes usually show it by the time we head home. I started this with my cousin, and we’ve been at it for several years now. We have a small crew that helps with the heavy lifting and the machine operation. The Puri sun can be really intense, so we try to do the hardest work early in the morning or late in the afternoon. We don't have a formal reception area or anything like that. Usually, if a customer comes by, we just talk to them right there in the yard. We have a small desk tucked away in the corner of the warehouse where we keep the bills. It’s a very hands-on operation. Sometimes the monkeys from the nearby trees come down and mess with our things, which can be a bit of a nuisance. But overall, it is a good spot to be. The train noise is constant but we don't mind it. We are just a local crew trying to get the orders out on time every day.
