Dav Public School, Sasaram

We are located over in Hansraj Nagar, which is a part of Adampur here in Sasaram. Most people find us by heading toward that side of the city. It is a fairly quiet spot compared to the main market area. The school has been standing on this plot for some time now. There are several floors to the building. You can hear the morning prayers from the street if you happen to be walking by at the right time. We have a lot of students coming in from all the surrounding patches of the town. The desks are lined up in rows inside the rooms. We keep the blackboards clean, or at least we try to. The staff room is usually cluttered with notebooks and half-empty tea cups. It gets very busy during the exam months. You see a lot of kids stressing out over their papers then. In the afternoons, the rickshaws line up outside the front gate. It is a bit of a mess when everyone is trying to leave at the same time. We do not have fancy decorations on the walls, just some old maps and maybe some student drawings from last year. The weather really affects how the day goes. If it rains hard, the courtyard gets big puddles and we have to keep everyone inside the halls. The stairs are made of concrete and have some chips here and there. We have a small drinking water station near the back. People in the neighborhood are used to the noise we make.
