Sandeep Kumar

I am Sandeep Kumar, and I run my business from Village Isherheri, near the Bahadurgarh area in Jhajjar, Haryana. Being out in a village means things move a little slower than in the city, and I actually prefer it that way. My office is just a simple room with a view of the fields. It is not a polished business center with a receptionist. Most days, it is just me sitting at my wooden desk, sorting through papers and taking calls. I grew up around here, so I know the local area well. I started this work because I wanted to stay in Isherheri rather than commuting to Delhi every day. It is a lot of self-management, since I do not have a boss or a big team to lean on. I do the cleaning, the errands, and the actual work myself. Sometimes the power cuts out in the afternoon, and I have to take a break until it comes back, which gives me a chance to walk outside for a bit. I do not believe in using big marketing words to describe what I do. It is just a small business trying to get things right. My neighbors often stop by to say hello, which makes the day a bit more interesting. I keep my books by hand mostly, though I use the computer for the official stuff. It is a quiet life, but it keeps me busy and I like being my own boss in my own village.
