My City Cab

You can find us at No. 102 in the Urvashi Complex, right on Dehradun Road. It is a busy area, and there is always someone coming or going. My City Cab isn't a massive fleet; it is just a group of us trying to provide a reliable way for people to get around. The office in the complex is pretty basic, just some chairs, a desk for the dispatcher, and a lot of charging cables for the phones. We spend the whole day listening to the radio and talking to the guys out on the road. Dehradun Road is always packed, so we spend a lot of time advising our drivers on how to avoid the worst of the congestion. We handle a lot of local trips, like taking people to the market or the hospital, and occasionally longer runs out to the airport. We do not use any complicated systems; we just write down the bookings in a big ledger and make sure someone is available. It is a lot of work keeping the cars clean and the petrol tanks full, especially when things get busy during the festival seasons. We like being in Urvashi Complex because it is central and people know where it is. We aren't looking to be the biggest company in the city, just the one people can actually count on when they have to be somewhere on time. It is a straightforward business with plenty of long hours, but we are used to it by now.
