Meera Bhushan Kishan Sathi Producer Company Limited is based at C/O Meera Dixitb Dixit on Mahatma Ghandi Marg. It’s a prominent street, but our office feels more like a home. That’s probably because it is run out of a local residence. Meera Dixit’s place is where we all gather to talk about the business. It’s a kishan sathi company, so our focus is always on the farmers. We spend our afternoons sitting around the table, going over the accounts or planning for the next month. Mahatma Ghandi Marg is usually quite busy, so there’s always a bit of life right outside our door. We don't have any big signs or fancy lighting. It’s just a place where work gets done. Most of us have known each other for years, so the atmosphere is very relaxed. We don't really do formal meetings; we just talk until we figure things out. Sometimes the dogs on the street make a lot of noise, but it’s just part of being in this neighborhood. We are proud to be part of the community here. We aren't trying to be the biggest company around. We just want to be a helpful presence for the farmers who rely on us. It’s a modest operation, but it’s ours and we take care of it every day. That is all there is to it.
