You can find us over at Ashish Tiwari’s place in Bhaluha, which is right near the Thana in Hanumana. It’s a busy enough spot for this part of Rewa, but still feels like the country once you get a few steps away from the road. We started Shahpur Agro Industry Producer Companylimited because we saw a lot of farmers around here struggling to get their stuff to market on their own. It’s hard when you’re just one person trying to figure out the transport and the buyers. So, we figured we’d just do it together. It isn’t always easy, and there’s a lot of arguing about how things should be done, but that’s just how it goes when you have a lot of different opinions in one room. The office is pretty basic, just some chairs and a table where we can sit and go through the books. We spend most of our time out and about, checking on the fields or talking to people in the village about the next harvest. The weather here in Rewa can be tough, and we’ve had our fair share of bad crops over the years, but we just keep at it because it’s what we know. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or anything like that. We just want to make sure the work we do in the dirt actually pays off at the end of the year for everyone involved. It’s just us, doing our best with what we’ve got in Hanumana.
