Sachin Jadhav

I've been here in Alore for a long time now. It’s a quiet spot in the Chiplun taluka, right in the middle of Ratnagiri district. Most people just pass through on their way somewhere else, but for me, this is where everything happens. My name is Sachin Jadhav and I basically run things from right here at this address. It’s not a big fancy office or anything like that. Just a simple place where I get my work done day after day. Sometimes the rain here in Maharashtra gets really heavy, especially during the monsoon months, and everything slows down. You can hear the water hitting the roof while you sit inside and try to finish up the paperwork. Life in a village like Alore is different than the big cities. You know your neighbors and they know you. It’s practical. I don’t see the point in making things sound more complicated than they really are. I just stay here and do what needs to be done. The post office is nearby and that’s how most things reach us. If you ever find yourself out this way in Ratnagiri, you’ll see it’s a pretty straightforward kind of life. No tall buildings or loud traffic jams all the time. Just the trees and the hills and the work. I’ve lived in this part of the country my whole life and I don't think I'd want to be anywhere else right now.
