Even though the name says Indore Public School, we are actually located right here in Jhabua. Our address is in the 457661 area, and it's a bit different from the big city schools people might expect. We have a lot of local families whose kids come here every morning. The road leading up to the school can get a bit muddy when the monsoon hits, so we’re always telling the kids to wipe their shoes. The building itself is a solid structure, not too many floors, which makes it easier for everyone to get around. We have a small library that’s mostly full of old textbooks and some stories the kids like to read. The playground isn't huge, but there’s enough room for a quick game of cricket during the break. I spend my days mostly looking after the supplies and making sure the chalk and markers are stocked up. We don't have those fancy digital screens in every room, just the regular blackboards that need a good scrub every evening. The staff room is always a bit messy with papers and lunch bags, but it feels like home to us. Jhabua is a small place and everyone pretty much knows who we are. We just focus on getting the lessons done and making sure the kids are safe until their parents come to pick them up in the afternoon. It is just the way we do things here.
