Shree Sainath Public School

Out here in Rattagarh Kheda, things move a bit slower than in the main part of Ratlam. Shree Sainath Public School is situated right in this patch of land near the tehsil area. Most of us who work here live nearby too. The school building stands out because it's surrounded by more open space than what you'd find in the city center. We get students coming in from all the small houses around the 457001 area. Some walk quite a distance to get here every morning. You can hear the morning prayers from quite a way off if the wind is blowing right. The classrooms are simple, nothing too special to look at. We have a lot of dust that comes in from the road, so we're always trying to keep the benches clean. There’s a big tree in the corner where the kids like to sit when it's too hot to be inside. Our teachers are usually busy chasing down kids who forgot their homework or trying to fix a broken chair. It’s a lot of manual work running a place out here. We don't have a big office or anything, just a small desk near the entrance. Sometimes the rain makes the path a bit muddy, but the kids don't seem to mind much. It’s just a local school doing its thing every day. We’re part of the neighborhood, for better or worse. The local bell rings for every period and you can hear it echo.
