You can find Utkal Pharma at Shop No 8B inside the Sri Ram Complex, right on Shradhanand Road in the Upper Bazar area. It is a very crowded part of town, so there is always noise and people rushing past the window. Our shop is small, so we have to use every bit of wall space for shelving. Some of the boxes are stacked almost to the ceiling. It can get a bit cramped when three or four people are inside at the same time. We spend a lot of time on our feet, moving between the counter and the storage racks. The stairs in the complex can be a bit of a pain when we are carrying heavy crates of bottles. We’ve been in this spot for a while and have seen many other shops come and go. Upper Bazar is like that, always changing. We keep a simple routine, opening up early to beat the main rush of traffic. The lighting inside isn't the brightest, but we know where everything is even in the dark. It’s just a practical business. We don't have a website or anything like that, just the physical shop where you can talk to us face to face. Sometimes we share a tea with the neighbor from the shop next door when things are slow. It’s a busy life but we’re used to it. The focus is just on keeping the inventory right for everyone.
