Palak Cell Phone Computer

The shop is located on Kachehri Road in the Garikhana area of Ranchi. Since it’s near the court area, it is always bustling with people. There are lawyers, clerks, and folks from all over the city passing by. We have a small setup here for fixing mobile phones and computers. The space is quite narrow, so we have to be organized with how we store the laptops and phones brought in for repair. You can hear the sounds of the street all day long—rickshaws, cars, and people talking. We spend most of our time at the back bench where the light is better for working on delicate electronics. Ranchi gets its fair share of power cuts, which can make the work a bit slow sometimes. We see a lot of people who are in a hurry because they need their devices for work at the Kachehri. We do what we can with the tools we have. It’s a dusty job sometimes, especially with the old CPUs that come in. We don't have a receptionist or anything; you just walk in and talk to whoever is at the counter. We’ve been in Garikhana for a while, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change, but the types of problems with gadgets stay pretty much the same. It’s just us doing our bit to keep things running for the people who stop by our little corner.
