Alif Mobile

Alif Mobile is a little shop situated right at Karpla Chowk on Konka Road. If you know the Konka area, you know how busy this intersection gets. We’re right in the middle of all that noise and movement. Most of our day is spent behind a glass counter filled with chargers, cables, and screen protectors. We fix a lot of cracked screens and deal with batteries that won't hold a charge anymore. The shop isn't very big, so it can feel a bit cramped when three or four people are waiting at the same time. We have a small workbench in the back with a soldering iron and a magnifying lamp where the real work happens. It’s messy back there with tiny screws and bits of plastic, but it’s where we get things running again. People stop in for all sorts of things, like quick recharges or just to ask why their phone is acting slow. We don't use big words to explain things; we just tell you what’s wrong and how much it’ll cost to fix. We’ve been here at the chowk for a while, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. It’s a good spot to see the world go by while we work on these small machines. We open up around ten and usually stay until the street lights come on.
