Ormanjhi Organic Producer Company Limited is found in the village of Baridih, which is part of the Ormanjhi area. We are based at the home of Sundarnath Mahto, and his father Sohrai Mahto is well known around here too. It is a family-oriented setup where the business and daily life kind of blend together. We do not have a separate corporate office with a glass front; we just use a sturdy room in the house to keep our records and meet with the local producers. Most of our work involves visiting the nearby fields and making sure the organic standards are being followed by everyone in the group. The area around Baridih is beautiful and green, and we take pride in being a part of it. We do not have a big staff, just a few of us who handle the paperwork and the logistics of moving the produce. It is a lot of hand-written notes and simple phone calls to get things done. We do not use any fancy business jargon because it would not make sense to the people we work with every day. If you come by, you might find us sorting through some grain or just talking about the upcoming rain. It is a very slow-paced environment compared to the city, but we get the work done regardless. We have been here for years and the community knows us as just another local family trying to make the farming work better.
