Dharti Amrut Vermi Compose

Out here on Ratu Road at Pandra Place, things are a bit different than the center of town. We run Dharti Amrut Vermi Compose. It’s a business that deals with the ground and nature, so things aren't always clean around here. We are located near the Shree Mahavir Mandir, and the Aditya Line Hotel is also a major landmark that helps people find the turn. The work involves a lot of patience. Dealing with compost and worms isn't for everyone, but it’s what we do. You can usually find us working with the pits or bagging the stuff up. The air has that earthy smell that stays with you even after you go home. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning. It’s mostly outdoor or semi-covered space because that’s what the process needs. Ratu Road is quite busy these days with a lot of trucks and people moving through to the highway. We get a mix of farmers and people with small home gardens coming by. We don't do much in terms of marketing. Most people just see the sign or hear about us from someone else at the temple or the hotel. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from sunrise to sunset. We just try to keep the quality steady and the piles moving. That is our life here at Pandra Place.
