MODULAR DESIGN CONSULTANT

We are on the second floor of the Vijay Vargiya Complex, which is at C-3 on H.B. Road in Ranchi. Most people know the building because it’s near Samford Hospital and Kokar Chowk. It’s a busy intersection, so there’s always noise from the street coming up to our windows. We do design consulting, which mostly means we sit in front of computers or look at big printed plans all day. The office isn't anything special, just some desks, a few chairs for visitors, and a lot of rolls of paper in the corner. We aren't trying to be some high-end firm from a big city. We just help people figure out their building layouts and how to make things fit. Sometimes we go out to sites to measure things, which gets our shoes muddy, but it’s necessary for the job. We have a small kettle for making coffee and tea when we have to work through the evening. It’s mostly local people from Jharkhand who come to see us. We don’t have a receptionist, so one of us just gets up to open the door when someone knocks. It can be a bit stressful when deadlines are close, but we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of it. We just provide practical drawings that people can actually use for their projects without any unnecessary fuss or complicated explanations.
