Black & Blond

Black & Blond sits right on Kanke Road in Ranchi. We are quite close to the Rock Garden, so there is usually a lot of traffic passing by. Our shop is a place where we handle hair coloring, cutting, and styling for anyone who walks through the door. It’s not a very big shop, but we’ve made it work for us. We spend most of our day on our feet, dealing with different types of hair. Some people come in wanting a complete change, while others just need a trim. We have some decent mirrors and chairs that have been with us for a while. The area around Kanke Road is always moving, but inside it stays relatively steady. We don't really do big advertisements; people just see our name and come in. It’s a bit of a mix of young people and families from the neighborhood. We try to keep the atmosphere relaxed. If the power goes out, we have a backup, which is lucky in this part of town. Working here means meeting a lot of different people every day. We just focus on the task at hand and try to make sure the floor is clean for the next person. It is just a normal hair shop doing its thing near the park. We like being part of this side of Ranchi. We don't do anything flashy, just the basic stuff that keeps the regulars coming back every month.
