Aanaj Bhandar

Aanaj Bhandar is just a small place we run over in Jai Prakash Nagar. We’ve been here near Bariatu Road for quite a while now. It’s mostly just us handling different types of grains and food items every day. People in the neighborhood know our faces because we’ve been around this corner of the city for years. Most of our days are busy, with heavy sacks coming in and going out on trucks. It isn’t a fancy setup at all, just a regular store where we try to keep things moving as best as we can. We mostly deal with local farmers and suppliers we’ve known for a long time. My family has always been into this kind of trade, so it felt right to keep the business going here. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting bags and making sure the storage stays dry when the weather gets bad. Sometimes the rain makes things tough, but that’s just part of the job. We spend most of our time organizing the stock and talking to the people who drop by for their supplies. If you walk past the main road, you’ll probably see us working in the back. There’s always a bit of dust from the grain and the sound of the scale clacking. We don't do any real advertising or anything like that. Most folks find us because they live nearby. It’s just a simple business running out of this old building.
