You can find our setup over in Patratu, specifically at Officer's Flat No. C/27 in the Balkudra area. This is in the Ramgarh district of Jharkhand, which is a place that knows a lot about heavy industry. Since we are based in a flat, it’s a very informal environment for Jindal Steel & Power Ltd. It’s where our senior manager stays and works, so it feels very much like a home office. There are trees around the area and it’s a bit quieter than being right in the middle of a big city. We deal with a lot of the on-site management from this location. It’s a very practical arrangement because we are close to where the actual work happens. We don't have a big reception desk or a sign outside that lights up. Most people who come here already know who we are and what we’re doing. We talk about the daily production numbers and the logistics of the plant while sitting around a regular dining table or at a small desk. It’s a very human way to run things, without all the corporate layers you usually see. We just focus on what’s right in front of us. Some days we have to deal with power cuts or bad phone signals, but that’s just life in this part of Jharkhand. We take it as it comes and try to stay productive throughout the week.
