Our farm business is located out on Bananduru Road. We are part of the Baredoddi Ward 15 area in Bidadi. If you are looking for us, we are under the care of Shashikumar at survey number 367/283/292/1. It’s a bit of a mouthful, but that’s just how the land records are. We are out in the rural part of Bangalore, so it’s much quieter than the city. We spend our days out in the fields, checking on the growth and dealing with the usual farm problems. Some days the pests are a real headache, and other days the water doesn’t reach the far corners of the plot. We’ve lived and worked in Ramanagara for a long time now. We aren't a big operation with lots of machines. It’s mostly manual work and talking to our neighbors about the weather. We don't have an office with air conditioning. We just have the shade of the trees. Sometimes the roads get washed out when it rains too hard. We just wait for it to dry and then get back to it. It’s a slow kind of life, but there is always something that needs attention. We don't have any fancy labels. We just grow what the soil allows and sell it to whoever needs it. It’s a lot of walking and a lot of sweat, but that’s just farming in this part of Karnataka.
