Univarsal Hardware & Tools

Univarsal Hardware & Tools is located on Raiya Road, right by the Sadguru Complex and across from the Indraprasth Building. Our shop is pretty much what you would expect from a local hardware place. We have shelves reaching up to the ceiling packed with all sorts of things like hammers, nails, power tools, and bins of small parts that are hard to find elsewhere. It’s a bit of a squeeze when we have more than a few people inside, but we know where most of the stock is kept. We spend a lot of time helping people find that one specific bolt or tool they need for a repair at home. Raiya Road is always busy, so there is a constant noise of traffic outside our door. We keep the place open to catch a breeze, though that means we are always dusting off the counters. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living. We don’t go in for any of that fancy marketing stuff. People come in, ask for what they need, and we go look for it in the back or on the high shelves. Sometimes it takes a minute to locate the right item in the stacks, but we usually get there. It’s a lot of standing on our feet and moving boxes around, but we like being part of the neighborhood and seeing the regular faces that stop by.
