Down on Road F in the GIDC Lodhika Metoda area, you will find us at G-1103. This is where Soham Bearings operates from. It is a typical industrial setup with high ceilings and the smell of lubricant always hanging in the air. Bearings are what we know, and we spend most of our waking hours thinking about them or moving them around. The Metoda area has grown a lot since we first moved into this building. It used to be quieter, but now there is a constant stream of traffic on Road F. Our building isn't anything special to look at, just a solid place where we can do our jobs. We have a small crew and most of us have been here for a long time. We know the machines and we know the sounds they make when something is off. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but we don't mind it. The routine is good for us. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy waiting room because we are usually out back. If the phone rings, someone eventually picks it up once they wipe their hands. It’s a bit messy sometimes, and the office is cramped, but that’s just how an honest bearing shop looks. We just focus on the daily tasks and making sure the boxes get out the door on time.
