Amar Industries

Amar Industries sits right at Plot No- 1 in Amar Nagar. It is a busy little corner near the Ramkrupa Sweet Market. You can usually smell the sweets when the wind blows the right way, which is a nice break from the industrial smells of Udhyog Nagar. We have been here in the Umakant Pandit area for some time now. The workshop is usually humming with the sound of machines running throughout the day. It is a bit noisy and there is always something being moved around on the floor. We do not have a big corporate front; it is just a workspace where things actually get made. The floors are concrete and usually have some scraps or tools lying around while we work. People come by mostly because they know we are here in the industrial estate. It is a practical place for practical work. We spend a lot of time on our feet, making sure things are moving along as they should. Sometimes we have to shout a bit over the noise to hear each other. Amar Nagar is a good spot for us because everyone around is doing similar kinds of work. We aren't trying to be anything other than a local industry doing our bit. It gets busy, especially towards the end of the month, but we just take it one day at a time. The work is steady and it keeps us occupied.
