Om Medicines

Om Medicines is situated at 7/1 Alkapuri on Raiya Road, right near the Hanumanmadhi Chowk. If you know that intersection, you know it’s one of the busiest parts of the neighborhood. There is always noise from the rickshaws and bikes outside, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. Our shop isn't very large, but we try to keep a bit of everything on hand. We deal with a lot of the local residents from Alkapuri who come in for their monthly supplies. We spend a good chunk of our day organizing the bottles and boxes that come in from the suppliers. It’s important to keep track of the expiry dates, so we’re constantly checking the back of the shelves. Hanumanmadhi Chowk is a landmark for most people, so it’s easy to tell someone where we are. We aren't doing anything fancy here; we just sell medicines and common health products. Sometimes people come in just to ask for directions because of where we’re located. We take the prescriptions, find the right drawer, and get things sorted. It can be a bit dusty with all the traffic outside, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the glass counters. It’s a straightforward life running a shop like this. We open up, serve the people from the neighborhood, and head home when the sun goes down. Most days it's just the same routine, but we don't mind it.
