Mehal Education Centre

You can find Mehal Education Centre at 10, Anand Society, right on New Junction Road in Surendranagar. We’ve been in this 363001 area for quite some time now. The building is a regular house that we converted into a space for teaching. It has a small garden in the front, though we don't always have time to look after the plants properly. Inside, we’ve set up some tables and chairs in the different rooms. It feels more like a home than a school, which I think the students like. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment. There are shelves filled with books and files that we've gathered over the years. Some of the chairs are a bit wobbly, but we just put a piece of folded paper under the leg and it’s fine. We handle various subjects for the kids in the neighborhood. It gets pretty busy in the evenings when everyone gets out of their regular schools. We usually have some water for the students in the corner, and a small fan to keep the air moving. We aren't trying to be the biggest center in Surendra Nagar-Gujarat. We just want to provide a decent place for people to learn. It’s just us doing our thing every day on New Junction Road. Most of our students live just a few streets away, so it’s a real local spot. We don't bother with fancy brochures.
