It isn't a high-tech institute with glass walls. It is a local place where the fans hum and kids are clicking away on keyboards. We teach things like typing, using the internet, and basic software. The street outside can be a bit noisy with the local market sounds, but inside the students are usually pretty focused. We started this because there wasn't much around here for people to learn digital skills. I spend most of my day walking between the rows of desks helping someone fix a mistake or showing them a shortcut. The computers aren't the newest models, but they work fine for learning. We have some old posters on the walls about coding and hardware. It’s a basic setup, but it helps the local kids and even some older folks get comfortable with technology. We don't have any big slogans. We just open the doors in the morning and wait for the students to show up. It’s a good way to help out the community here in Upleta.
