Manglam Medicines

The shop is located in Jalaram Arcade, right on Vidhyanagar Main Road. If you know the arcade, you know it’s a busy place with people coming and going for all sorts of reasons. We’ve been in this spot for a bit, and the Vidhyanagar area has changed quite a bit around us. The traffic on the main road is pretty much a constant sound in the background of everything we do. Our space inside the arcade isn’t anything special to look at. We have the usual shelves and a desk where we handle all the paperwork. It gets a bit cluttered sometimes because we try to keep a lot of things on hand. There’s always a bit of dust coming in from the street, so we spend a lot of time with a duster in hand. The other shopkeepers in Jalaram Arcade are good people. We usually end up talking about the weather or the traffic while we have our afternoon tea. It’s a very local kind of life. We don’t have a big corporate office or anything like that. It’s just this one room where we do our work every day of the week. People stop in because they are already on Vidhyanagar Main Road for something else. It feels right being part of the neighborhood like this. We just keep our heads down, do the work, and then head home when the sun goes down.
