Our office for Krishna Agro Industries Corporation is in Satyay Estate, located on the Navrangpura Main Road. This part of Rajkot, near Mavdi Plot, is always bustling with activity related to the trade. The estate itself is a bit old, and the pavement is uneven, so you have to watch your step. We have a decent-sized space where we keep our records and meet with people. It’s usually filled with the smell of old paper and the sound of the ceiling fan clicking. Most of our day is spent talking to suppliers and checking on the status of various shipments. Navrangpura Main Road is a main artery for the city, so we are right in the thick of it. We don’t go in for anything fancy; the desks are plain and the chairs are just okay. We’ve got a small kettle for making tea when guests arrive. The team here is pretty tight-knit. We’ve gone through many seasons together, some busy and some slow. It’s a practical place for practical work. We don’t spend much time worrying about how the office looks to outsiders. As long as the work is getting done and the accounts are clear, we are happy. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, and we just sit by the window and wait for it to come back while we chat. It’s just the way things are here.
