Galaxy Agro Industries

You’ll find us at No. 10 in the Mavdi Plot, part of the Galaxy Estate. It’s a noisy area, full of the sounds of metal hitting metal and the hum of heavy machinery. We do a lot of agro work here, mostly making parts and tools that farmers need. The floor is always covered in iron shavings and dark grease. My hands are rarely clean, but that’s fine. The Galaxy Estate is a busy place where everyone is just trying to get their work done. We start when the sun comes up and usually don't stop until it's getting dark. The air in the shed gets quite hot by two in the afternoon, so we have a few old fans that wobble as they spin. We don’t have a fancy showroom. If you want to see what we make, you just have to walk into the workshop and look around. The roads around Mavdi Plot are pretty rough because of all the trucks, so it’s always a bit of a bumpy ride getting here. We spend a lot of time talking to local farmers who bring in broken equipment. They tell us what they need, and we try to figure out a way to build it for them. It’s practical work. We don't have time for corporate meetings or long reports. We just focus on the metal and the machines in front of us. It’s a simple life in the estate and we like it that way.
