Om Computer

Our shop is right on Kalawad Road, which is basically the heart of the action around here. Om Computer isn’t some massive tech hub; it’s just a place where we fix screens, look at motherboards, and try to make sense of why a laptop won't turn on. The traffic outside on Kalawad Road never really stops, so there is a constant hum of engines in the background while we work. We have shelves filled with old parts, cables that we might need one day, and some boxes stacked in the corner. It’s a bit cluttered, but that’s just how it goes when you’re dealing with electronics every day. Sometimes a customer comes in really frustrated because they lost their work, and we just sit there and try to see what can be recovered. It’s honest work. We don't use big words to explain what's wrong; we just say the part is broken and it needs replacing. The lighting inside is a bit bright because we need to see the tiny screws and wires. Usually, we have a radio playing somewhere in the back to keep us company. Being on Kalawad Road means we see all sorts of people walking in. Some just want a mouse or a keyboard, while others have big problems with their desktops. We take them as they come, one at a time, until it’s time to close up for the night and go home.
