Our place is called Mitesh, and it’s right opposite Ashok Garden in the Mavdi Plot area of Rajkot. If you’re looking for 360004 on a map, that’s us. Rajkot is famous for this kind of work, so there is competition everywhere you look. We try not to worry about it too much. We just focus on what’s on our own workbench. The foundry work is hot and tiring, especially in the middle of the afternoon. We have a small group of workers who have been with us through thick and thin. Castomate isn't a big fancy name you see on billboards. We’re more of a word-of-mouth kind of business. People in the neighborhood know where we are. We have a lot of regular customers who just drop by to see how their orders are coming along. Sometimes we sit in the small office and have a chat about the weather or the price of raw materials. It’s been a tough few years for everyone, but we’re still here. The garden across the street is nice to look at when the dust isn’t too bad. We keep our tools organized as best as we can, though things usually get messy by noon. We aren't trying to change the world. We’re just trying to make good parts and get them delivered on time. That’s the way we’ve always done it here in Rajkot. We take our work seriously, even if the office is a bit of a mess.
