Our shop is located at Ambika Park, Indraprashth A-1 on Raiya Road. It’s right near the Hanuman Madhi Chowk, which is a busy landmark everyone around here knows. We sell tools of all kinds, so the walls are lined with wrenches, drills, and hardware. It smells like metal and oil in here, which I guess is how a tool shop should smell. People from all over Rajkot come by when they need something specific for a job. We spend a lot of time helping customers figure out which tool is actually going to work for what they’re trying to do. It’s not always a quick sale; sometimes we’re digging through bins in the back to find an old part that matches an old machine. The road outside is always noisy with scooters and cars, especially around the chowk. We’ve been in this spot for a good while, and the neighborhood has grown up around us. Our staff knows their stuff because they’ve been handling these tools for years. It’s not a fancy air-conditioned showroom. It’s a real shop where things get a bit messy and there’s always a bit of grease on the counter. We keep our books manually for the most part, and we know many of our customers by name. It’s just a straightforward business where we show up, open the door, and help the people who walk in until it’s time to close up.
