We’ve been here at Shop No. 8 in Shree Apartment for quite a while now. Most people around Village Main Road know us just as the place to get photos done. It’s a small studio, nothing too fancy, just enough space for the cameras and some backdrops we keep in the corner. My day usually starts with opening the shutters and checking if any prints are ready from the day before. People stop by for all sorts of things, maybe a passport photo for a form or sometimes a family wants a nice picture together because the kids are growing up fast. It gets a bit crowded when a whole family walks in, but we make it work. The light in here is okay, but we use those big umbrellas to help. Sometimes the printer acts up, which is a headache, but that’s just how it goes when you run a small shop. I try to keep things simple. I don’t really do big speeches about art or anything like that. If the photo looks like the person and they’re happy, then it’s a good day for me. The Village Main Road can be noisy with all the traffic passing by, but once you step inside, it’s mostly quiet except for the click of the shutter. We just do our work and hope people keep coming back. It’s not a big corporate office, just a local spot where we take photos and chat with the neighbors who drop in.
