We've been at this spot in Patel Nagar for a while now. If you head down the 80 Feet Road and look for Vruj 2, that is where our workshop is located. It gets pretty loud inside with all the machines running throughout the day, but that is just how it is when you are making things from scratch. We started small, just a couple of us trying to figure out how to build parts that actually last and don't fall apart after a month. Some days are busier than others, especially when the orders pile up and we are rushing to get everything loaded onto the trucks. There is always dust on the floor and the smell of cut metal in the air, which I guess is the smell of work. We don’t have a fancy office or anything like that. Mostly, it is just us in our work clothes, checking the specs and making sure the measurements are right on the money. Sometimes people just stop by to ask if we can fix something or make a specific piece for their project. We try to help out when we can, though we stay pretty focused on our own projects. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know. My hands are usually dirty by noon, but it feels good to see a finished pile of work ready to go out the door. Patel Nagar has changed a bit over the years, with more traffic on the main road now, but we are still here doing the same thing. We just keep our heads down and focus on the machines. It keeps us out of trouble and keeps the lights on.
