Haystar Flour Mill

We run Haystar Flour Mill over in the Varun Industrial Area. It’s a busy spot here on Street No 5, right at Shed No 30 on the Kothariya Main Road. We’ve been doing this for a while now. The mill is always a bit dusty, but that’s just how it is when you’re grinding grain all day long. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who know how to keep the machines running. It’s loud inside the shed, so we mostly communicate with hand signals when the grinders are going full tilt. We start the day early, usually before the sun is even up, to get the first batches ready. There’s no fancy office here. We just have a small desk tucked in the corner where we keep the ledger. People from the neighborhood come by to get their bags filled. We don't do any big advertising or anything like that. Most folks just know us because we’ve been at this same spot for years. The floor is concrete and we’ve got sacks piled up against the walls. Some days the delivery trucks are late and we have to sit around drinking tea until they show up. It’s a simple life. We just focus on getting the flour right. It’s hard work on the back, lifting those heavy sacks, but we’re used to it. We just keep at it, day after day, making sure the mill stays in good shape for the next morning.
