Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation

We are located at A 4, in the Officer Staff Quarter of the S T Colony. This is right inside the S T Workshop Compound here in Gondal. It’s a bit of an industrial area because of the workshop. You can hear the buses and the tools all day long. We manage the road transport stuff for this part of Gujarat. There are always buses coming in for repairs or drivers checking in for their shifts. Our office is quite simple, just a few rooms in the staff quarters. It isn't a place for visitors really, just a spot for us to keep the records straight. We have a lot of schedules and maintenance logs to look at. The compound is big and can be a bit dusty when the wind picks up. We’ve all been here for years, so we know the routine. It’s not a glamorous job, but the buses need to run. We drink tea from the canteen and talk about the routes. Gondal is a good place to be based. The 360004 area is where we spend most of our time. We don't have a website or anything fancy like that for our local office. We just make sure the state buses are moving like they should. It’s a lot of grease and paperwork, but it’s what we do. The office has a few old wooden chairs and some big ledgers that we still use for tracking the repairs and parts.
