Gayatri Medicine. Our shop is positioned right near the bus station on the Bhavnagar Highway Main Road in Sardhar. Being so close to the bus stop means there is always a crowd of people around. You can hear the buses pulling in and out all day long. It gets quite dusty sometimes because of the highway traffic, so we spend a fair bit of time dusting off the medicine bottles on the front shelves. It’s a small place, but we keep it well-stocked. Sardhar is a place where everyone kind of knows each other, so we see a lot of the same faces coming through. We open up early in the morning before the first big buses arrive. It’s mostly just us behind the counter, grabbing boxes and checking prescriptions. The highway noise is just part of the background now. We don't have fancy lights or big signs. It’s a basic medicine store for the local people and those passing through on their way to Bhavnagar. Sometimes the weather gets really hot, and we just sit under the fan waiting for the next customer. We handle a lot of common medicines that folks need in a hurry. It’s a simple life running a shop here. We don’t overcomplicate things. We just make sure we have what people are looking for and keep the place open during the usual hours.
