The morning starts early before the heat gets too bad. We open the gates and start checking what came in overnight. It’s a lot of lifting and counting. Talk about Ghanghali village. It’s a small place in Sihor. Our spot is right by the Shitaram way bridge. You can't miss it because of all the trucks going over the scale all day long. The air gets quite dusty around here, especially when the wind picks up from the Bhavnagar side. We've been at this for a bit now, just dealing with steel and the daily grind. Some of the guys have been here since the start, and we all know the routine. It’s not a fancy setup. Just a yard, some heavy metal, and the noise of the bridge nearby. Sometimes the trucks line up all the way down the road, and we just wait our turn. It’s hot work, especially in the summer months when the sun beats down on the metal. We have our tea breaks under the little shade we found near the office. People from the village walk by and say hello. It’s just how things are in this part of Gujarat. We don’t do much fancy talk. We just get the steel moved and keep the paperwork straight. The way bridge is the landmark everyone uses to find us, so we just tell folks to look for the Shitaram sign and they usually make it here eventually. It’s a busy corner of the world even if it looks quiet on a map.
