Chandan Wooden Works

Chandan Wooden Works is located at 2, Vaid Wadi, just off Gondal Road. If you come by, you’ll probably smell the sawdust before you see the sign. We’ve been working with wood in this spot for quite a while. It’s a dusty place, and there are wood shavings everywhere, no matter how much we sweep. We make furniture, frames, and whatever else people need out of timber. We have a few old saws and planers that have seen a lot of use. We don't have a showroom with bright lights. Most of our finished pieces are stacked up against the wall waiting for pickup. We pick out the wood ourselves to make sure it’s decent enough to work with. Some days we are busy sanding things down until our arms ache. It’s a slow process if you want to do it right. We don't really do the mass-produced stuff you find in big malls. It’s just us and the wood. We have customers who have been coming back for years whenever they need a new cupboard or a door fixed. It’s a quiet life, mostly, just the sound of the saw and the smell of fresh cut cedar or teak. It’s not always perfect, but we put in the time to get the joints right. We are just a small shop trying to make things that people can use in their homes for a long time.
