Atrey Medicine

Our place is Shop Number 4 at the Sai Community Hall on Kalawad Road. It’s a well-known area, and having the community hall right there makes it easy for people to pinpoint us. We’ve been operating Atrey Medicine from this unit for a while. Kalawad Road is always moving, and we get a lot of people stopping in on their way home from work. The shop itself is pretty standard. We have shelves lining the walls from floor to ceiling because you need a lot of space to keep all the different types of medicines organized. We spend our time checking prescriptions and talking to folks about what they need. Sometimes the community hall has events, and it gets really crowded around here, which can be a bit of a headache for parking, but it brings people in. We aren't trying to be a big corporate pharmacy; we’re just a local shop in a community building. We have our regulars who come in every few weeks for their blood pressure or sugar meds. It’s a good feeling when you recognize the faces coming through the door. We don't have any fancy displays or marketing stuff. We just have the medicines and the basics like cotton wool or thermometers. It’s honest work, and we try to do it right every day until we close the shutters. It gets a bit dark in that corner of the road at night, so we make sure the front light is on.
