Our agency is up on the third floor of the G B Complex. It’s right at Moti Tanki Chowk in Rajkot. If you know the area, you know how crowded it gets during peak hours. Finding parking is always a headache for us and the people coming to see us. We’ve been in this building for some time now. Room 304 is where we keep all the stock and the books. It’s a bit cramped with all the medicine boxes stacked up to the ceiling, but we make it work. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to suppliers. Sometimes the lift in the complex stops working and we have to carry things up the stairs. That’s never fun. The air conditioning works most of the time, which is good because Rajkot gets really hot. We have a small staff. Everyone knows their job. We don’t really do fancy meetings. We just talk over tea in the afternoon. People come by to pick up orders or just to check if something is in stock. It’s a standard medicines agency setup. Nothing flashy. Just a lot of boxes and a lot of typing on the computer. We try to keep things moving. The chowk outside is always noisy with horns and people shouting, but once you’re inside the office, it’s a bit quieter. We just keep our heads down and handle the daily orders. There is always something to do here.
