Ami Medicines

You’ll find Ami Medicines in Kishanpara, directly opposite the Divyabaskar office. It’s a good landmark because everyone knows the newspaper office. We’ve been here in this part of Kishanpara for a good amount of time. The shop is a simple place where we focus on getting people the medicines they need. Each morning, we start by cleaning the counters and checking what needs to be ordered for the next day. Since we’re right across from a major office, we see a lot of people who work nearby coming in during their lunch breaks or after they finish their shifts. We also get the residents who live in the surrounding streets. We don't have a huge staff, just a couple of us who know where everything is kept. It can get a bit cluttered when the new stock arrives in those big cardboard boxes, but we get it sorted onto the shelves pretty fast. We handle a lot of different prescriptions and sometimes just basic stuff like cough drops or skin creams. The road out front can be quite busy during office hours, but it’s a lively place to be. We don't use any complicated systems; we just keep a manual log and make sure we’re helping everyone who walks in. It’s just a normal medicine shop trying to do things the right way for the people in our neighborhood. That’s really all there is to it. We keep the shop open until late evening most days.
