Binani Cement Ltd

Our spot is at B-58, right there on Sirohi Road. If you know Binani Gram, you know it’s mostly about the cement work and keeping the wheels turning. It’s a bit of a trek for some of us to get here every day, but once you’re in, the day goes by pretty fast. The address says Binani Cement Ltd, but to us, it’s just the place where we spend our eight or ten hours. There’s a lot of noise sometimes from the machinery nearby, but you get used to the hum after a week or two. We don’t really do the whole corporate dress code thing; it’s more about being comfortable enough to handle whatever comes up in the yard or the office. Most of the guys have been in the Sirohi area their whole lives. We handle a lot of the logistical stuff from this building. It’s not always perfectly organized, but the work gets done and the trucks usually leave on time. The road outside can get pretty busy with tractors and heavy vehicles, so getting in and out takes a bit of patience during the rush. We have our small routines, like the tea break in the afternoon that everyone really looks forward to. It’s a simple operation at the end of the day. We aren’t trying to do anything fancy, just making sure the cement gets where it needs to go. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and talk for a bit. That's just how things are in this part of Rajasthan.
