It’s a functional space with everything we need to keep track of the cement. We have some sturdy desks and old filing cabinets that have been with us since we started. The township itself is a community, so we see the same people every day at the local tea stall or walking to their own jobs. It makes for a friendly environment. We don’t have any polished signs or marketing posters on the walls. It’s mostly just calendars and maps of the local area. The sun in Pali can be very strong, so we keep the blinds drawn during the hottest parts of the day. Our work consists of a lot of logistical planning and making sure the trucks are on schedule. It’s not the kind of job that gets a lot of attention, but it’s important for the building work happening around the region. We just show up, do the work, and keep the records straight. It’s a quiet life here in Rabriyawas, but we stay busy enough with the day-to-day demands of the cement business. We often drink several cups of tea while we wait for the late afternoon shipments to arrive.
