S L T Modern Rice Mill

We’ve been running S L T Modern Rice Mill for quite some time now over at 45, Kattukuppam. It is a noisy place, honestly, with the machines going all day, but that is how you get the rice cleaned and ready. People bring their paddy here from the nearby fields, and we spend most of our hours making sure the husking and polishing get done right. It gets pretty dusty inside the mill, but we are used to it by now. It is just how it is when you work with grain every single day. My hands are usually covered in some sort of dust or grit, but that's just part of the job. We aren't a huge operation with fancy offices or anything like that. We just have the machinery and some space to stack the heavy bags. Sometimes the power goes out, which is a real pain, but we just wait it out and start back up when we can. Dealing with the farmers is the best part because we get to hear all the local news while the machines are humming in the background. If you are looking for us, we are right there at 45, Kattukuppam. We just focus on the work at hand and try to stay busy during the harvest seasons.
