Ar Hi-Tech Rice Mill

Our mill, Ar Hi-Tech Rice Mill, is located out in Kattur Village, specifically on Sivan Koil Street. It’s a quiet part of Minjur in the Ponneri Taluk area, at least until we start the machinery up in the morning. Then it gets pretty loud. The building is at number 3, and you can’t really miss it because of the smell of the grain and the sound of the engines. We’ve been working here for quite a while now. The village life is slow, but the work at the mill is anything but slow. We spend a lot of time cleaning the equipment and making sure the bags are stacked correctly so they don't fall over. Most of the people who work here are from around the village, so we all know each other’s business. We don't have any fancy offices or anything like that. It’s mostly just the warehouse floor and the milling area. Sometimes the rain makes the road a bit messy, but the trucks still manage to get through. We just focus on getting the rice processed and ready. It’s a dusty job and by the end of the day, we’re all covered in it. We sit outside for a bit when the sun goes down before heading home. It’s just what we do here in Kattur, keeping the mill running and making sure things are done right without any fuss. It is just honest work and it keeps us all out of trouble during the week.
