Ips School is located in Swapna Colony, which is part of Sultanabad in the Peddapalli district. The colony is a residential area, so it is usually quite calm until the school bell rings. Most of our students live nearby and they just walk over every morning. We have a simple gate and a small courtyard where we do the morning assembly. Sultanabad is a growing town and you can see more houses being built around the school lately. The building itself is a few stories high with classrooms that look out over the colony houses. During the breaks, the kids play in the open space, and it gets quite noisy for a while. We have the usual stuff like benches, boards, and a small office where we keep the records. The staff mostly comes from the surrounding areas of Peddapalli. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we have to open all the windows to let the breeze in. It is a very local kind of place where everyone knows each other’s names. We don’t really do anything flashy or big. It is just about getting through the lessons and making sure the students learn their subjects. The school day ends in the late afternoon, and then the colony goes back to being quiet again. It is a steady routine that doesn't change much from one year to the next. We just focus on the daily work of running a school for the local children here.
